Howrey to Obtain Spanish Presence
Howrey is expanding into Spain with the takeover of Martinez Lage & Asociados, a Madrid firm that focuses on mergers, antitrust law and other competition matters.
The merger with the 11-lawyer firm takes place on Jan. 1. Martinez managing partner Santiago Martínez Lage, who founded the firm in 1985, will stay in his post for at least four years, Legal Week reports.
Howrey will have about 60 lawyers in Europe with the addition of the lawyers from the Spanish firm, a press release says.
