In another sign that the corporate legal market is gaining steam this year, megafirm Hogan Lovells has raided the Frankfurt, Germany, office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher for a 10-lawyer capital markets team.

The group is led by Michael Schlitt, who will head the practice group at his new law firm, reports Legal Week. He previously was on the roster at Fried Frank and Allen & Overy.

Schlitt cited Hogan Lovells’ “great platform” in Germany, the chance to run the practice group there for a well-known BigLaw firm and his new firm’s team spirit and willingness to take on his entire team as reasons for making the move.

Meanwhile, the revolving door also spins in another direction at Hogan Lovells: A four-lawyer team headed by its Frankfurt-based global co-chair of employment, Thomas Ubber, is leaping to Allen & Overy.
