'Hoe Haters' Gang Members and Victim's Relatives Brawl Outside Georgia Courtroom
Sheriff’s deputies in DeKalb County, Ga., arrested seven people on Thursday after gang members and relatives of a murder victim brawled outside the courtroom.
Members of a gang known as the “Hoe Haters” scuffled with relatives of high school student Marcus Holloway, who was killed in a drive-by shooting. There were no major injuries. The Atlanta-Journal Constitution, WSBTV.com, the Associated Press and CBS Atlanta have stories.
About 20 people were involved in the fight caught on security video. DeKalb County Sheriff Thomas Brown told WSBTV that some women tried to create a barrier between two factions during a verbal exchange, but they didn’t succeed in keeping the two sides apart. Deputies responded within 90 seconds, he said.
