Happy Holidays, Milbank Associates: Firm to Match Cravath & Skadden Bonuses of Up to $35K
Associates of another New York-based BigLaw firm are heading home for Thanksgiving with something to be thankful about: End-of-year bonuses ranging from $7,500 to $35,000.
Although far less than what major law firms in the Big Apple were paying associates in happier financial times just a few years ago, the moolah to be handed out to associates on Jan. 15 by Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy nonetheless matches what the bellwether BigLaw firms of Cravath Swaine & Moore and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom are paying their associates, according to an internal memo (PDF) published by the New York Law Journal.
