Half Price Lawyers is back in business
A Nevada law firm called Half Price Lawyers has reopened under new management.
The name is provided under a licensing arrangement, Vegas Inc. reports. The law firm, taken over by lawyer Glen Truitt in 2013, closed its Las Vegas and Pahrump offices in February, the Pahrump Valley Times reported at the time. Now lawyer Mark Coburn has licensed the name.
Some states require all law firms to be named after lawyers, but Nevada has allowed generic law firm names for decades, according to Vegas Inc. Law firms operating in the state include the Defenders and the Firm.
Generic names must be factually accurate to comply with the Nevada bar’s advertising standards. The bar previously required Half Price Lawyers to document that its prices were actually half that of other firms.
