Gunmaker's Gift to Firearms Plaintiffs: Commemorative Revolvers
A gunmaker plans to present the plaintiffs who won a landmark U.S. Supreme Court right to bear arms ruling last month with commemorative revolvers engraved with the name of the case and a scales of justice tipped toward the plaintiff side.
The Heller v. D.C. specials to be presented to the six plaintiffs by Smith & Wesson will also be sold to the general public to help raise money for the Second Amendment Foundation, reports the Wall Street Journal Law Blog.
As discussed in an earlier ABAJournal.com post, the opinion authored by Justice Antonin Scalia in the case is considered one of his most important in 22 years on the high court bench.
