Following Clients and 'Flow of Capital,' Clifford Chance Focuses on Asia
Like other renowned London-based international law firms, Clifford Chance is rethinking its focus and expects Asia to be a bigger part of its future.
Of 23 new partners elected recently, more than half are Asia-based, reports the Financial Times.
“We as a law firm like to follow clients but also to follow the flow of capital,” says senior partner Malcolm Sweeting.
The firm hopes to double its Asia revenue, which presently is about 120 million pounds annually, by 2014, he states. The firm overall brings in about 1.2 billion pounds per year.
