Two Florida business coalitions have filed suit over a new law that will allow workers and other citizens to bring guns onto private property in their individual vehicles, starting July 1.

The law is unconstitutional because it interferes with private property rights, the Florida Retail Federation and the Florida Chamber of Commerce contend in the suit they filed in federal court in Tallahassee today. The two groups also say the law conflicts with provisions of the federal Occupational Safety and Hazard Act, according to the Miami Herald.

A copy of the lawsuit (PDF) is provided by the Associated Press.
