Fish & Richardson, Leason Ellis Hire Lawyers from Dissolving IP Boutique
Five lawyers from the dissolving law firm Darby & Darby have found a new home at another intellectual property law firm, Fish & Richardson.
Former Darby partners S. Peter Ludwig and Robert Sullivan are joining Fish & Richardson’s New York office, and bringing a team of three other lawyers with them, according to a press release and a story in the New York Law Journal.
Meanwhile, former Darby managing partner Michael Sweedler and lawyer Paul Fields have joined Leason Ellis, a White Plains boutique that broke off from from Darby two years ago, the New York Law Journal says. And David Tellekson, managing principal of Darby’s Seattle office, is headed to Fenwick & West.
Fish & Richardson president Peter Devlin told the New York Law Journal that the firm is in negotiations to hire a couple other Darby lawyers, “but we’re not there yet,” he said. The Ludwig and Sullivan team will help Fish & Richardson increase its presence in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors, Devlin said.
