Family Lawyer Also Runs Waxing Studio
When she’s not handing divorce and child custody cases at her family law firm in Ocala, Fla., Ami DiLorenzo can often be found at the South Beach Waxing Studio.
That’s because DiLorenzo owns the business, at which a former paralegal, Tracey Bisnett, is the licensed esthetician who administers the treatments with a special vegetable-based herbal wax, reports the Star-Banner.
DiLorenzo, who recently moved to Ocala, in central Florida, from Miami, on the state’s southeastern coast, says she got the idea of starting her sideline business after seeing for herself in Miami how much better the herbal wax treatment is than the traditional wax-strip procedure. The studio soon plans to expand its offerings to include eyelash extensions and eyebrow tinting.
How does she manage to find time to run a sideline business in addition to practicing law?
“I work seven days a week and have for years,” the 35-year-old says. Says her father, J.D. DiLorenzo, 56, who practices in Ocala in the same historic district building, as a social security attorney and mediator: “When she’s onto something, she just accomplishes things.”
