Ex-Cravath Lawyer Sues Columbia U in Anti-Feminist 'Jihad'
A former associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore has drawn worldwide attention with his latest salvo in a self-described litigation “jihad” against feminism.
Roy Den Hollander, a New York civil rights lawyer and a graduate of Columbia University’s business school, has sued its Institute for Research on Women and Gender, contending that the women’s studies program is discriminatory and unconstitutional, reports the London Times.
In a federal class action filed Monday in federal court in Manhattan, he describes the institute as “a bastion of bigotry toward men,” and contends that the women’s studies program is discriminatory because there is no comparable men’s studies program, according to the newspaper.
The self-proclaimed anti-feminist sought a divorce from his wife, a Russian emigre, when she began working as a stripper, and “now all I am looking for is superficial temporary escapades with pretty young ladies,” he tells the newspaper.
This social activity led him to file suit against several well-known New York nightclubs, over “Ladies’ Night” specials offered to female patrons, the Times reports: ”Mr. Den Hollander’s suit against the New York nightclubs began when he went in search of such women after his divorce. He found that many clubs offered women cut-price entry.”
