David Radler is the latest to be sentenced in the criminal case against executives that once headed the Chicago Sun-Times daily news tabloid.

U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve accepted Radler’s plea this morning and signed off on his reduced sentence of 29 months and a $250,000 fine, the Chicago Tribune reports. Radler, who has already paid $53 million in restitution and settlements, got the deal in exchange for cooperating with the federal probe of a fraud scheme at the paper’s parent, Hollinger International Inc.

According to the Tribune, Radler’s plea allows him to serve his time in Canada, which may cut his actual jail time to six months.

Last week, Radler’s business partner, Conrad Black, was sentenced to 6½ years for his role in the fraud. Hollinger’s former general counsel, Mark Kipnis, received probation.
