Ex-Judge Attacked in Law Office and Severely Injured
Police are seeking the assailant or assailants who reportedly battered a former New Mexico judge in his law office on Friday.
Thomas Fitch, who practices in Socorro with his wife at Fitch & Tasch Law Office, was severely injured, according to the Albuquerque Journal (sub. req.) and KOAT.
KRQE says nearby individuals went to investigate after hearing a loud noise at Fitch’s office around 7 p.m. He was taken to the hospital around 7:30 p.m.
Socorro police turned the investigation over to state police, reports KOB.
Fitch was formerly the chief district court judge in Socorro. He is in his late 60s.
