Edwards Angell to Merge with UK Firm
Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, which has offices in 10 U.S. cities, has announced a merger with a London law firm.
After the Jan. 1 merger with Kendall Freeman, the new firm will have 600 lawyers, Legal Week reports.
Both firms have strong insurance and reinsurance practices. They also share similar cultures, according to Laurence Harris, managing partner of Kendall Freeman.
“Since we started talking about a merger, we have all been struck by how similar our approaches and cultures are,” he said in a press release. “EAPD is a firm where we can maintain the valued culture of collegiality and support that we have in London.”
