Last week, lawyer-blogger Robert Ambrogi wrote a rant about LinkedIn. He said he thinks that the time he has had to spend lately dealing with useless content and puzzling attempts from strangers to connect is making him disenchanted with the platform.

“Maybe there’s a sort of law of diminishing returns at play here,” wrote Ambrogi, who has been on LinkedIn for 11 years. “As of this moment, I have 2,254 connections on LinkedIn. I’m sure there are plenty of other people I could or should connect with. When I come across one, I send an invitation. But at some point the worthwhile connections must start to run low.”

So this week, we’d like to ask you: Do you connect with strangers on LinkedIn as a way to network, or do you just use it to keep up with professionals you already know? How many connections do you have? Do you check your LinkedIn feed like you would your Facebook feed, or did you even know you could? Alternatively, are you not on LinkedIn at all? Why did you make that decision?
