DLA Piper Promotes 53 Lawyers to Partner
DLA Piper has promoted 53 lawyers worldwide to partner, 17 of them in the United States.
The number is higher than last year, when 41 lawyers were promoted to partner, and the same as 2009, when 53 were promoted, the Am Law Daily reports. A press release has the complete list.
DLA Piper shifted to a one-tier partnership structure in 2008, inviting 275 nonequity partners to become full equity partners.
The highest number of promotions this year was in the area of litigation and regulation, with 14 lawyers making partner, followed by corporate and finance, with 12 in each area making partner.
