A disbarred lawyer who once served as a municipal judge and city attorney is suspected of shooting two financial advisers in North Dallas on Monday.

Robert Mustard Jr. is suspected of shooting his financial adviser, Richard Smith, and Smith’s son, Chris, before turning the gun on himself, according to WFAA.com and the Associated Press. Mustard, 60, was in intensive care and wasn’t expected to survive. The victims are hospitalized in stable condition.

The Smith family said Mustard walked into the office of the Smith Financial Group, said, “You’ve taken all my money,” and opened fire, according to WFAA.

Mustard had worked as an assistant district attorney and as a city attorney in Van Zandt County and as a municipal judge in The Colony, the Dallas Morning News reports. He also worked in the law firm of Averil Sweitzer.

Mustard was arrested in 1985 on charges that he tried to bribe a Dallas city marshal for security codes to the court’s computers, the Morning News says. The codes would have allowed Mustard to dismiss the cases of his own clients. He was convicted and served about a year in prison.
