Did Security Cameras Capture Strauss-Kahn’s Lunch with Daughter?
Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s demeanor during a lunch with his daughter after an alleged attack on a hotel maid could become important evidence in the case against him.
The former chief of the International Monetary Fund spent about 90 minutes eating with his daughter at McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, the New York Times reports. Prosecutors wouldn’t tell the newspaper whether security cameras at the restaurant recorded the lunch.
Defense lawyers have requested any video recordings, and have sought to reconstruct what happened during the meal, the story says. A tape showing Strauss-Kahn to be distracted or upset could aid the prosecution, while a tape showing him to be relaxed could help the defense.
