The new law firm will be known as Dentons Davis Brown.
Dentons is the world’s largest law firm. The Davis Brown combination is part of a Dentons expansion effort in the United States called Project Golden Spike, a dual-partnership model that allows combining firms to maintain local decision-making power.
Earlier this year, Dentons announced a Project Golden Spike merger with Durham Jones & Pinegar, a Utah law firm with nearly 100 lawyers. Other Project Golden Spike merger partners are Bingham Greenebaum Doll and Cohen & Grigsby.
Dentons has announced 28 new offices throughout the world in 2020 “in an environment where other law firms are standing still, contracting or withdrawing from key markets,” according to the press release.
When Dentons combines with Davis Brown, it will have offices in 193 locations, 39 of them in the United States. The firm’s reach extends to 77 countries.
