Cozen O’Connor has hired three lawyers from Baker Hostetler, including its antitrust chief, capping a year of frequent lateral hires.

Cozen O’Connor made more than 100 high-level lateral hires last year, according to a press release. The latest acquisition includes Melissa Maxman, who led the antitrust and trade regulation practice at Baker Hostetler.

Cozen O’Connor’s strategic plan calls for aggressive recruitment of key laterals with strong commercial litigation and corporate law practices, the press release says. The law firm hired several lawyers last year from the failed law firm Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen.

Baker Hostetler has also been adding lawyers as it pursues a growth strategy.

The other lawyers jumping from Baker Hostetler include antritrust and trade regulation lawyer Ronald Wick and international trade lawyer Marcela Stras.
