An unidentified 29-year-old Chicago man reportedly led Wisconsin authorities on a high-speed chase Monday after fleeing the Sheboygan County Courthouse on foot after a court appearance.

News reports do not make clear whether the court appearance also occurred Monday, or was at an earlier date. The suspect, who was wanted on charges of escape, bail-jumping and failure to obey an officer allegedly eluded Sheboygan police, but was soon spotted by a county sheriff’s officer. A chase ensued, reaching speeds of up to 110 mph, according to the Sheboygan Daily and the Sheboygan Press.

The suspect was apprehended just across the Ozaukee County line, after reportedly losing control and crashing his vehicle on Interstate 43. He was treated for injuries described as minor and no one else was injured.
