Court Order Resolves Britney Spears Family Dispute
A three-hour argument last night over custody of Britney Spears’ two children was resolved ”peacefully by court order,” a Los Angeles police spokesman said.
The lawyer for Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline, Mark Vincent Kaplan, arrived at Spears’ home around 8 p.m. yesterday evening, and the children were later turned over to Federline under court order specifying it was time for him to take over custody, EOnline reports.
Aerial television footage showed Spears being lifted into an ambulance, the Associated Press reports. A Los Angeles police spokesman said Spears was being taken to the hospital for an evaluation because police suspected she was under the influence of an unknown substance, EOnline reports.
Earlier in the day, Spears arrived late for her deposition in the custody dispute, enabling her to be questioned for only 14 minutes. Her lawyers are seeking to withdraw from her case.
