After new neighbors asked a Texas family to keep their four dogs inside until later in the morning, James and Lisa Price say they tried to cooperate with the retired couple.

But a $121 ticket from the municipal animal control department after the dogs “were going nuts” about something one Sunday morning has put the Farmers Branch family in a more militant mood. As the Prices await a Thursday court date, they have posted a sign on their front lawn. It reads: “House for sale by owner because my neighbor’s a douchebag!” the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Police and a city council member asked them to take the sign down, the Prices said, but it isn’t illegal. So they are leaving it up, for now.

“He just needs to back off a little bit about the dogs,” said James Price of his unidentified next-door neighbor. “He’s being ridiculous. Now I’d like him to pay my $121 fine.”
