A California judge who reportedly was driving south in a northbound lane of traffic when she caught the attention of police has been reprimanded for her reckless driving.

Superior Judge Lisa Guy-Schall failed field sobriety tests when she was pulled over in September of last year by Escondido police, and a blood alcohol test an hour later came in at 0.09, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune. The legal limit is 0.08.

Charged with driving under the influence, she pleaded guilty in March to alcohol-related reckless driving, the newspaper writes.

Noting that the judge had been disciplined previously, the state Commission on Judicial Performance publicly admonished her for “a serious disregard of the principles and official conduct embodied in the California Code of Judicial Ethics,” reports San Diego 6, a local television station.

The panel also criticized the judge for failing to follow high standards of conduct to preserve public confidence in the judiciary’s integrity and independence, the station notes.

Guy-Schall has been on the bench since 1989. She was previously privately admonished in 1995 for her involvement in a juvenile dependency case and publicly admonished in 1999 for abusing the contempt power.
