Calif. Firm Offers N.Y. Pay
A California law firm has announced it will be matching the starting salaries of New York firms.
Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe will pay its beginning associates $160,000 a year at all California offices except Sacramento, the Recorder reports.
The newspaper contacted Latham & Watkins; Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher; and O’Melveny & Myers to see if they would also raise pay at their West Coast offices. None offered a comment.
