Cahill Gordon announces summer bonuses of $5K to $15K
BigLaw associates expect bonuses at the end of the year, but summer bonuses can be a pleasant surprise.
Now that a major New York-based law firm has announced that it will pay midyear bonuses, however, other BigLaw associates will be hoping their employers follow suit, says Above the Law.
Cahill Gordon & Reindel is the major firm that has stepped up to the plate, confirming to ATL that its associates will get summer bonuses of between $5,000 and $15,000, depending on seniority.
“We are paying a mid-year bonus to our associates because we think they have contributed significantly to the firm’s success and we want to reward them for that,” partner Jonathan Schaffzin told the law blog. He is a member of the law firm’s executive committee.
