Rolling out law practice management software at Akin Gump (video)
Toby Brown, director of strategic pricing and analytics at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, talks with Bloomberg Law’s Lee Pacchia about the challenges of implementing a pricing strategy at a large law firm and the recent efforts to utilize legal process management software.
“One of the challenges in the whole legal project and process management space is how you marry, we’ll say ‘traditional’ project management into the way lawyers practice,” Brown says. “I wouldn’t suggest that you just impose that classic project management you know, approach, on top of how law is practiced. I think it would be oil and water. So you’ve got to find a way … to bring it in such that it’s not disruptive.”
