Couple Wins Damages After Condo Neighbor Complains They Were Having Noisy Sex
Asked by a condominium resident to do something about the “indiscreet and scandalous” noise a neighbor couple allegedly made while having sex in their suburban Rio de Janeiro home, a judge in Brazil has acted.
Instead of providing relief to plaintiff Lucas Bohrer Filho, the judge has found merit to a countersuit filed by the defendants, Jose Carlos Santos Lauriodo and Rita Lauriodo Maccorde Brandao, alleging that their privacy was violated by the public complaint in Bohrer Filho’s suit, reports CNN.
Filing a public lawsuit about their sex lives was “unreasonable,” “excessive” and “tarnished the reputation of the defendants,” held Judge Sergio Jeronimo Abreu da Silveira of Nova Friburgo.
He awarded about $3,200 to each of the defendants in the Fourth District Civil Court case.
