Body of Missing Fla. Partner Found
The body of Melissa Lewis has reportedly been found in a canal near her home in Plantation, Fla.
The 39-year-old labor and employment lawyer, who was a partner of Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler, was last seen two days ago. There were signs of a struggle in her home when authorities began investigating her disappearance, according to a local NBC News affiliate and a bizjournals.com article.
Her Cadillac was found several blocks from her home. Lewis reportedly was dressed, when her body was found, in the same clothing she was wearing on Wednesday when she was apparently caught on camera while shopping at a supermarket near her home.
Stuart Rosenfeldt, a founding partner of the Fort Lauderdale firm, says Lewis “was a true superstar with her vivacious personality, compassion and intellect. She developed into an extremely well-respected litigator and lawyer.”
The firm’s written statement was published by the local NBC News affiliate.
