A blind lawyer in the U.K. is threatening to sue American Express Co. if the credit card issuer doesn’t take action to make its online credit card statements more user-friendly to those with vision problems.

Previously, Richard Godfrey-McKay, a 53-year-old solicitor in Perth, could review his Internet statements with the help of screen-reader software. But since AmEx changed its featured statements from HTML to a PDF format, this alternative no longer works for him, reports the BBC. “The HTML versions are still available, but cannot be found easily by those with sight difficulties,” the news agency says.

Godfrey-McKay contends the situation violates disability discrimination law in the United Kingdom.
