Blawg 100 Honoree Threat Level Nominated for a Webby Award
Threat Level, the Internet and privacy law blog at Wired.com, has been named a finalist in the law category of this year’s Webby Awards. The blog was also an ABA Journal Blawg 100 honoree in the News category.
The annual contest, now in its 15th year, seeks to honor excellence on the Internet. There is a judged winner in each category as well a People’s Voice winner, which is determined by the number of registered votes each website, interactive ad, online video or mobile app receives in its respective category.
Voting is open on the People’s Voice winner. To cast a ballot, go to this link through April 28 and choose your favorite. Both judged and public vote winners will be announced at the Webby Awards ceremony on June 13.
The other four finalists in the law category:
• CNBC ‘s “Marijuana & Money: A CNBC Special Report.”
• The London-based Guardian newspaper’s Law news page, which also hosts the BabyBarista Blog and Butterworth and Bowcott on Law.
• Immigration Advocates Network, a national organization that supports lawyers working on behalf of immigrants’ rights. This site was also nominated in 2010.
• International Justice Central, a website and blog that is part of a campaign to build global awareness of the International Criminal Court.
ABAJournal.com, which won the People’s Voice award in 2008, was recognized as one of six official honorees in this year’s contest.
