A former Temple University employee who once sued Bill Cosby for alleged sexual abuse has filed a lawsuit against the former prosecutor who defended his decision not to charge the comedian in 2005.

The suit claims former Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney Bruce Castor defamed the plaintiff when he said her allegations in her lawsuit against Cosby were more detailed than her statements to police, report the New York Times, the Legal Intelligencer (sub. req.) and the Associated Press.

The suit cites a September Associated Press article in which Castor says, “If the allegations in the civil complaint were contained with that detail in her statement to the police, we might have been able to make a case out of it.”

The suit claims Castor made the plaintiff “collateral damage for his political ambitions.” Castor, who is currently a county commissioner, is making another run for DA.
