One of the oldest law firms in Louisiana has been acquired by Beirne Maynard & Parsons, a Houston-based law firm that focuses on civil litigation.

“We have combined skilled litigation and commercial transaction attorneys while strengthening our international reach and presence along the Gulf Coast,” said Brit T. Brown, who serves as managing partner of Beirne Maynard & Parsons. The release says the firm expects further growth this year in the Gulf Coast region, Texas and Mexico and other international markets and indicates that the the firm is exploring other merger options.
“We’re fortunate to continue growing into new markets, such as San Antonio and now New Orleans, with seasoned and talented attorneys able to offer experienced legal counsel to our clients,” said Martin D.
