As Lohan Pleads Innocent in Necklace Theft, Judge Tells Her Not to Push Her Luck
Lindsay Lohan pleaded not guilty today in the theft of a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, Calif., jeweler.
But the judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court case warned the actress, who was released on $40,000 bail and is already on supervised probation concerning earlier driving under the influence cases, that she’s upped the ante, reports People.
“You’re in a different situation now with a felony,” Judge Keith Schwartz said, threatening to send Lohan to jail if she violates the law while on bail. “You’re no different than anyone else. So please, don’t push your luck.”
Her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, said Lohan is trying to arrange a plea and has been a good probationer.
Responded Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers: “A good probationer doesn’t pick up a new case.”
