Arnold & Porter Raids All 2 Partners from Brussels Office of Shearman
Arnold & Porter has raided the Brussels office of Shearman & Sterling, convincing both of the two partners based there, as well as a counsel, to join its own larger office there.
All three of the lawyers making the leap to a new law firm in the Belgian capital—office chief Annette Schild, partner Silvio Cappellari and counsel Stephanie Birmanns—focus their practice on antitrust and competition matters, reports Legal Week.

Marleen Van Kerckhove is managing partner of Arnold & Porter’s Brussels office, as well as the head of the firm’s European competition practice. She says both she and Schild wanted to be part of a bigger practice group that can better-handle their client base and broaden the client base and sectors being served.
