Armstrong Teasdale opens office in Denver
Armstrong Teasdale has opened a new office in Denver.
According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the firm’s new office, which includes a group of 10 attorneys from Steese, Evans & Frankel, officially opened its doors today. The move is the latest in a westward expansion by the Missouri-based Armstrong Teasdale that began in 2005 when the firm opened an office in Las Vegas and one in Reno, Nevada, the following year (the Reno office was consolidated with the Las Vegas office earlier this year).
“This westward move will strengthen our existing practice areas and pave the way for future nationwide growth,” said Mike Chivell, Armstrong Teasdale’s managing partner, in a press release. Chivell stated that the acquisition should allow the firm to strengthen its intellectual property, internal investigations, telecommunications, and white-collar crime capabilities.
The group of attorneys joining Armstrong Teasdale is led by Chuck Steese and Kevin Evans, two former name partners at Steese, Evans & Frankel. According to the firm’s website, all Denver based lawyers at Steese, Evans & Frankel have joined Armstrong Teasdale while the Washington, D.C.-based attorneys have formed Frankel PLLC. According to the press release, Steese’s and Evans’s clients include CenturyLink, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, the United States Olympic Committee, and Westwood College.
“Some of the attorneys in that office, we’ve had a nice working relationship for several years,” Chivell said to the Dispatch. “Our strategy is to grow, and we do that based on client need or an opportunity. We expect to do more, we want to do more and we’re looking all the time.”
