UK Law Firm Ex-Partner Probed re 7-Figure Sum
For the second time in less than two weeks, a prominent London lawyer is in the news concerning a seven-figure sum.
This time it’s a former partner of Ince & Co., Andrew Iyer. He’s being investigated by multiple agencies concerning what a spokesman for the law firm describes as “irregular financial behavior,” Legal Week.
The Telegraph, who describes Iyer as a playboy who once dated actor Michael Caine’s daughter, says up to 3 million pounds of client funds may be at issue in the matter.
Meanwhile, the other lawyer, former Hogan Lovells litigation partner Christopher Grierson, has yet to make a promised repayment of 1 million pounds in questioned law firm expense reimbursements, as a deadline for doing so looms, reports the Financial Times (reg. req.).
