A Jacksonville, Fla., employment boutique is dissolving, but the parting is a friendly one.

Coffman Coleman Andrews & Grogan had been approached a number of times about merging with other firms, and when that didn’t happen, other firms “started cherry-picking” its attorneys a few years ago, partner Bill Andrews tells the Daily Record.

All eight of the firm’s lawyers have found work elsewhere: Andrews, Pat Coleman and Mike Prendergast are joining 225-attorney GrayRobinson, a full-service Florida law firm based in Orlando; Mike Grogan, Eric Holshouser and Tim Strong will open a Jacksonville office for Allen Norton & Blue, a 25-lawyer Florida employment boutique; and Dan Coffman will be counsel to Holland & Knight, an 1,100-attorney international firm which was founded in Florida.

“This could not have been more amicable,” Andrews tells the Daily Record. “We did not fight together and we will not fight leaving.”
