Alters and Morelli Ratner Will Combine; Name Partner Predicts It Will Be a Class Action Powerhouse
A Florida personal injury lawyer known for scoring massive class action wins while dealing with disputes with his partners and co-counsel, has announced a plan to combine with a New York law firm to form Morelli Alters Ratner.
The approximately 24-attorney firm will have co-equal offices in Miami and the Big Apple, and Florida attorney Jeremy Alters predicts that it will be a class action powerhouse, the South Florida Business Journal reports.
The firm will also have an office in Washington, D.C., the Daily Business Review (sub. req.) notes.
“This is a firm unlike Miami has ever seen,” Alters told the Business Journal in a phone interview. “With Morelli Ratner, I’ve found the right partner to handle massive cases against massive companies.”
Morelli Ratner has a similar plaintiffs-oriented practice.
