Alleged Mobster Gets Huffy, Asks Prosecutor, 'You Making Eyes at Me?'
An alleged mobster apparently didn’t like the way the prosecutor was looking at him during a hearing in a Chicago courtroom yesterday.
“You making eyes at me?” Frank “the German” Schweihs wanted to know as he glared at Assistant U.S. Attorney Markus Funk. “Do I look like a [expletive] to you or something?” The Chicago Tribune wondered in its report on the incident if Schweihs “woke up on the wrong side of the jail bunk.”
Schweihs also noticed another federal prosecutor wearing a turban and asked if he was in a foreign country, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Later Schweihs called Funk “another asshole.” At other times during the hearing, Schweihs, who is suffering from cancer, sat hunched over in his wheelchair.
U.S. District Judge James Zagel “appeared annoyed,” according to the Tribune, and quickly wrapped up the hearing after the asshole remark.
