Preet Bharara, the Southern District of New York U.S. attorney who was fired this month by President Donald Trump, after refusing to step down, has taken a position with New York University School of Law.

Bharara, who was one of 46 U.S. attorneys dismissed by the Trump administration, oversaw many high-profile corruption and white-collar cases in his job, Reuters reports. He was temporarily replaced by Joon H. Kim, who previously served as Bharara’s chief counsel, the Washington Post reported.

At NYU, Bharara is joining as a distinguished scholar in residence, according to press release from the law school.

“I am thrilled for this opportunity to continue addressing the issues I so deeply care about–criminal and social justice, honest government, national security, civil rights and corporate accountability, to name a few,” Bharara said in a statement.
