Actor Nicolas Cage Arrested on Domestic Battery, Drunkenness Charges
Actor Nicolas Cage was arrested Saturday on charges of domestic battery and public drunkenness, reportedly after an argument with his wife about whether the couple was at the correct address.
The couple was standing in front of a house in New Orleans that Cage insisted was one they were renting, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
When his wife disagreed, Cage is alleged to have grabbed her arm and pulled her to what he believed to be the correct house. He later reportedly began striking vehicles, prompting a passerby to wave down an officer.
In a separate story, the Times-Picayune reports that on March 4 Cage was escorted out of a French Quarter restaurant by police after an incident in which a window was broken. No charges were filed.
TMZ, which was the first to report the arrest, notes that Cage is in town filming the movie Medallion.
