U.S. Supreme Court
A Pro-Business Court
A Supreme Court litigator says the U.S. Supreme Court under the leadership of John G. Roberts Jr. seems to be more pro-business than its predecessor.
Supreme Court litigator Maureen Mahoney told reporters at a press briefing today that the Roberts court has more business cases on the docket, according to The BLT, the Law Blog of Legal Times.
And the court’s two newest members—Roberts and Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr.—both support constraints on punitive damages and a narrowing of damage remedies, she said.
