A 77-year-old semiretired Toronto lawyer thought he wouldn’t be able to put together his usual Halloween outdoor decorating extravaganza after he and his wife both suffered broken bones in accidents.

Carl and Lila Orbach had spent hundreds of hours decorating their yard for Halloween for the last dozen years. But Carl was struck by a car while celebrating his 50th anniversary with his wife in Italy, breaking his foot. And Lila later fell and broke her arm.

But a group of about 30 friends, relatives and neighbors decided the show must go on, the Toronto Star reports. They put together a ghoulish yard display while the Orbachs supervised. This year, the display features a macabre wedding couple, in keeping with the theme of the Orbachs’ 50th anniversary.
