A former managing partner of the Palm Beach County offices of Greenberg Traurig and another partner have exited the firm to join a growing outpost of Philadelphia-based Fox Rothschild.

The arrival of Howard Bregman, a longtime real estate transactional lawyer, and litigation veteran Gary Dunkel at their new firm’s West Palm Beach office is expected to herald further growth there, especially in real estate, the Palm Beach Post reports.

Bregman, who founded the Greenberg firm’s West Palm Beach office over 20 years ago said he made the move because his now-former firm’s banking practice was limiting his ability to represent real estate clients.

As the economic crisis brought banking clients to Greenberg Traurig in recent years, “the last few years have been a disaster for me and my clients because I haven’t been able to represent them when they had problems with lenders because we were representing all those [banking] clients,” Bregman told the newspaper.
