20 New Staff Layoffs at Wilson Sonsini
New staff layoffs, “primarily in the secretarial area,” have been announced by Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
In an internal memo published by Above the Law, the Silicon Valley powerhouse says it is letting about 20 people go.
The downsizing, the memo says, is the result of “a regretful but prudent business decision and no reflection on the skills and performance of the employees involved.” However, the move doesn’t reflect any concern about Wilson Sonsini’s long-term future, it says, describing the firm as “extremely well-positioned for growth and future success.”
The ATL post doesn’t include any comment from the firm, and Wilson Sonsini didn’t immediately respond to a call from the ABA Journal.
