More on Donora

Baseball fans reading “A Deadly Fog Kills 20 in Donora,” (October-November, page 72) may be reminded of the trivia question: Ken Griffey Jr. (batting average, .284; 2,781 hits; 630 home runs; 1,836 RBIs) is the second-greatest left-handed outfielder born on Nov. 21 in Donora, Pennsylvania. Who is the greatest?

The answer is Stan Musial (batting average .331; 3,630 hits; 475 home runs; 1,951 RBIs).

Law school costs

Regarding the web article “Stressed and depressed, only 34% of young lawyers with highest student debt say JD was worth cost, new ABA survey says” (ABAJournal.com Sept. 9): Maybe the law schools like mine, whose tuition has gone up 700% in 30 years, should be asked, “Why the increase in costs?”

Garner admirer

As always, Bryan Garner really nailed it (“Lawyers as Explainers,” August-September, page 21). Clear, concise, insightful and informative.
