A hip-hop-influenced musical about America’s first secretary of the treasury might sound far-fetched. But this Broadway reimagining of the life of Founding Father (and lawyer!) Alexander Hamilton has been racking up accolades since it was first performed in February of this year. Your chances of seeing Hamilton’s original Broadway cast might be limited, since the New York show is sold out through the summer of 2016. But the original cast recording is available now, and has been nominated for a Grammy. Readers in the ABA’s hometown of Chicago can also look forward to the opportunity to see the show live; the Chicago Tribune has announced that Hamilton will be coming to town in September of 2016.
