In 2011, the Lincoln County Courthouse in Wiscasset, Maine, was thrown into an uproar by some spooky footage found on a motion-sensitive security camera, reports WCSH. “County Commissioner Sheridan Bond says he used a magnifying glass to examine a still frame of the image, and believes he can see a face in the fuzzy object,” said the local station. “Others aren’t so sure about the face–but they say the camera clearly shows something, and no one has been able to offer a logical explanation of what it might be.”
Bond also said that workers in the district attorney’s office have spotted the shadowy figure of a man in the late afternoon and early evening.
WCSH was unable to identify who might be haunting the courthouse, but says that since the main part of the courthouse was built in 1824 (the picture above is from sometime between 1870 and 1889), many people have been both jailed and executed at the building.
