“The strangest gift i got was from a young man i represented on an criminal then immigration matter. He was 16 at the time…something like that. He looked like he might have been on the road to becoming a real problem so i spent a lot of time with him and let him come and lend a hand doing stuff around my office. We talked about all sorts of stuff including our love for dinosaurs and how cool they were. One day after everything was resolved he and his mom show up at my office with a little cardboard box. They told me to open it slowly and carefully so i did…and as i lifted up one side of the top of the little carrybox a tiny green head popped up and looked at me turning it’s head this way and that. I gave a little shreik but instantly fell in love…with Giancarlo (also known as Juancho) my baby pet iguana…So adorable…Years later i had to take him to the Exotic Animal place for adoption because i needed to travel and no one to leave him with…and they said he was the handsomest, healthiest iguana they had seen in a long time.” - La Doctora
